Thomson Cruises is a cruise line that offers low cost cruises around Europe. Thomson’s ships are chartered from Louis Cruise Lines and Holland America Line.
Thomson Cruises first started up in 1973 but due to rising costs they had to close in 1976. However, in 1995 they started up again and have grown ever since.
Their current fleet consists of five ships which are The Calypso, The Emerald, Thomson Celebration, Thomson Destiny and Thomson Spirit. In the future a ship named Island Escape, currently cruising for Island Cruises is due to enter service for Thomson Cruises in April 2009.
